The Route to Becoming a Doctor
You will often hear young children saying “ I dream of becoming a doctor when I grow up”, When saying this it seems to be such an easy thing to attain. Earning the title Medical Doctor (M.D.) is certainly not an easy task to achieve. It requires painstaking focus and diligence with studies especially when you are already in the Medical School. Prior to entering the medical school, you should first have a taste of heavy doses of science courses before you gain your Bachelor of Science degree. Afterwhich you need to take the Medical College Admission Test if you want to enroll in a U.S. Medical School. Not being able to pass this test will not qualify you for admittance, of course. This is a requirement and predeterminer if you have gained enough knowledge about science, math, critical thinking aptitude, and problem solving skills. These are the qualities that you need to acquire if you are determined to succeed in the medical school. These are essential since you will be dealing with preservation of human life once you are a doctor.
After completely attending the medical school, you will then be facing the challenges of real-time hospital encounters involved in medical residency. Completion of this would then entitle you to gain the M.D. title appearing after your name.
The route to becoming a doctor is certainly not easy at all. However if you are eager to gain that M.D. title, you should be ready to face and overcome all these challenges for your primary objective of becoming a doctor.
